Morning came slowly, almost reluctantly, as if even the sunlight knew it had no business disturbing the silence that surrounded the room. A faint golden glow slipped through the heavy curtains and spread lazily across the unfamiliar bedroom, touching the expensive furniture, the scattered clothes on the floor, and the tangled sheets that carried the remnants of a night Ziva wasn't sure she wanted to remember so clearly.
